Development of an Analytical Procedure for the Design of CIP Plastic Pipe Liners

Status :
Completed
Contract Number:
40461
Time Period:
Jun 1995 - Jun 2000
Principal Investigator :
D. Hall (Previously: W.T. Straughan)

Sponsored by:
  • Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund and Industry

Objectives:
  •  to examine the long-term buckling behavior of liners and the effect of different pipe geometries on this behavior
  • to further develop deterministic and probabilistic design approaches for pipe lining systems

This research builds upon the experimental results from previous research by the TTC and involves testing of different diameters and different ratios of wall thickness to diameter than those previously tested.
