Objectives:
  • to examine the influence of ovality on the reduction in liner capacity to carry external loads
Current design practices for the design of Cured-in-Place Pipe suggest a considerable reduction in the liner capacity to carry external loads if the host pipe has imperfections such as ovality or other local deformations. However, the available analytical and experimental are insufficient to fully understand the problem or to support adjustment of current design practices. This research focusses on the issue of ovality and involves conducting 15 short-term buckling test using three degrees of ovality of the host pipe
