How to Participate

Forms of participation in the Center's programs include:
  • TTC Membership - Donor, Sponsor, Benefactor , or Industry Advisory Board.  For more information on how these memberships differ, i.e. the associated level of annual contribution to the Center (given in support of the general activities of the Center) and earned benefits, please see TTC Memberships . The most advanced membership is on the Industry Advisory Board. This Board is responsible for monitoring progress of specific projects, identifying and prioritizing current and future needs of the trenchless technology industry, reviewing research results prior to dissemination, assisting in various projects where possible, assisting in transferring information to the public, and promoting construction education and the interaction of students with the industry.
  • Municipal User's Forums  - These regional forums allow personnel from individual municipalities to meet and share their experiences in applying trenchless technologies to underground utility problems. It also allows them to cooperate on essential activities related to trenchless technology that are difficult, time consuming and expensive to undertake individually. For more information please see Municipal User's Forums .
  • Research Collaboration - Interest in cooperative R&D, technology transfer, market surveys, etc. is welcomed. The center carries out (1) Core research programs, (2) Proprietary research and testing programs and Public research and testing programs. For more information or research opportunities please see Research Collaboration . For more information on active or completed research projects please see Research .
  • Technology Evaluation - Interest in technology evaluation is welcomed. The Center is active in technology evaluation and cooperates via a formal Memorandum of Understanding with the Civil Engineering Innovative Technology Evaluation Committee (CEITEC) program of the ASCE Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF). For more information on technology evaluation projects please see Technology Transfer
  • Special Donations - The development of the TTC has been greatly influenced by some key donations to the center. A major gift from the Naylor family has allowed the center to improve its research and education facilities and provided the center with an important financial flexibility in its day-to-day operations. It is hard to overstate the importance of such gifts in the development of a quality programs. Special gifts to the center or the university are welcomed and donors may target their gifts for specific programs or uses. Please contact the center for further information.
